Commerce platforms built for peak, not average.

Headless commerce, order management, and loyalty systems engineered for the Tuesday at 2pm in November when your traffic is twelve times normal — because that's the day that actually matters.

01The landscape

Retail software is judged on its worst day.

Most ecommerce platforms perform fine in a demo and during a normal Tuesday. The real test is a flash sale, a viral product moment, or the four weeks around a major shopping holiday — when traffic spikes 10–20x and inventory has to stay accurate across every channel in real time. That's where generic commerce builds quietly fall apart: overselling stock, dropping orders under load, or checkout flows that time out exactly when conversion matters most.

We architect for that worst day from the start — horizontally scalable checkout paths, inventory systems that reconcile across online and in-store channels without race conditions, and caching strategies that hold up under real concurrent load, not just synthetic benchmarks. Headless by default, so your front end isn't held hostage by your commerce platform's release cycle.

02What we build

Capabilities built for retail & commerce.

Headless commerce

Decoupled storefronts on top of commerce APIs — freedom to redesign the front end without a platform migration every time.

Order management (OMS)

Inventory and fulfillment orchestration across warehouses, stores, and marketplaces — with a single source of truth for stock.

Loyalty & personalization

Points, tiers, and segmentation engines that drive repeat purchase behavior — not just a badge in an account page.

In-store & POS systems

Point-of-sale integrations and store operations tooling that stay in sync with online inventory in real time.

Regulatory frameworks we build to

PCI DSS GDPR / CCPA SOC 2 Type II ADA / WCAG 2.1

A storefront that only works at average traffic isn’t a storefront — it’s a liability with good photography.

03Good questions

What teams in retail & commerce actually ask us.

Yes, this is one of the more common engagements we take on. We typically run the new platform in parallel against live production data before cutover, so the migration is validated against real traffic patterns rather than a staging environment that doesn't reflect actual load.

Both, depending on what the business actually needs. Headless builds on top of platforms like Shopify or commercetools cover most cases efficiently. Fully custom is worth it when your operating model — B2B pricing logic, complex bundling, marketplace dynamics — doesn't fit what off-the-shelf platforms assume.

Synthetic load testing against production-equivalent infrastructure, with traffic patterns modeled on your actual historical peak data rather than generic assumptions. We've also seen teams discover their real bottleneck isn't the storefront but a downstream dependency — inventory sync, a payment gateway, a tax API — so we test the whole chain, not just the part that's easy to test.
