01The landscape

Industrial software has to survive contact with the floor.

A lot of manufacturing software is designed in a conference room and dies on contact with the actual shop floor — sensor data that arrives too irregularly to trust, alerts that fire so often operators learn to ignore them, or systems that assume connectivity a legacy PLC network was never built to provide. The gap between a system that looks good in a pilot and one that survives a year of real production conditions is where most industrial software projects actually fail.

We design for that gap directly: ingestion pipelines that handle sensor noise and intermittent connectivity as the norm, alerting thresholds tuned with the people who'll actually receive them, and integration layers that meet legacy OT equipment where it is instead of demanding it modernize first. The goal isn't a system that's impressive in a demo — it's one that's still trusted by the floor six months after rollout.

What teams in manufacturing & industrial actually ask us.

Yes, and we expect to — most manufacturing environments run a mix of legacy and modern equipment, and we don't ask you to replace working hardware just to get data out of it. We've built integration layers using OPC-UA, Modbus, and vendor-specific protocols to bridge that gap.

We tune thresholds with the maintenance team who'll actually receive the alerts, not against a generic model, and we treat a rising false-positive rate as a signal to recalibrate — not something the team should just learn to filter out mentally. An ignored alert system is a failed one, regardless of how accurate the underlying model is.

In most cases we work with existing sensors and instrumentation — the bigger gap is usually in the data pipeline and integration layer, not the hardware itself. We'll tell you directly if new instrumentation is genuinely the bottleneck, but it's less often the case than IIoT vendors tend to suggest.
